A couple of weeks ago I came across this great piece by FilmmakerIQ.com and was quite impressed by their extensive breakdown of the history and science of color film.  As a Colorist, I feel that it’s very important to comprehend how an image is created.  The evolution of color film lays the foundation of how we process an image and influences the way in which we approach a grade.
