This video has been making it’s way around social media over the last couple days and it really provides an in depth look at the role color plays in storytelling.  A lot of times we take color in movies for granted and just accept them as the way that they are.  In reality, hours upon hours are spent on research and planning to make sure that the lighting, set design, and wardrobe properly convey the intended message.  Certain colors evoke certain emotions, both on the conscious and subconscious levels.  It’s really quite a psychological process.  Take a moment to watch this video and you’ll have a newfound appreciation towards all the hard work that goes into the storytelling process in movies and film as it relates to color.
