Digital Tutors Resolve 12 blog

While at NAB 2015 I had the pleasure of meeting a couple of representatives from Digital Tutors.  I had never checked out their site before, but was very interested in paying it a visit.  After navigating the site I was pleasantly surprised to see the level of depth, professionalism, and detail that they go into on countless topics.  One thing that really grabbed me were the Nuke tutorials.  High end compositing has always been very interesting to me and I ended up spending hours learning and watching.  I truly believe that experiencing other creative elements in the industry ultimately make you better at grading.

After some small chat and giving them a quick demo of the new Resolve software, they asked me if I’d be interested in writing a blog posting for them when the software was available to the public.  I had a pretty good understanding of the software and was comfortable giving it a review, so I obliged.  Check out this link to see the new features review that we collaborated on.  Down the road, once the software is out of beta and reaches a point release, I’ll be offering a multi-lesson introduction to grading course through their site.  I’m quite excited to showcase the software to an audience that hasn’t had much exposure to grading.  Hopefully I can help take their movie making experiences to the next level.  Stay tuned for more updates in the near future.
